Student Rules & Regulations

Attendance

Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in theory and practical classes. Shortage of attendance may lead to disqualification from examinations.

Discipline

Students must maintain proper discipline, respect for faculty, staff and fellow students, and adhere to institutional norms at all times.

Uniform

Students must wear the prescribed uniform while attending classes, practical sessions and clinical postings.

Mobile Phones

Use of mobile phones during lectures, practical sessions and clinical training is strictly prohibited.

Identity Card

Students must carry their college identity card within the campus at all times.

Library

Library resources must be used responsibly. Books must be returned on time. Damage to library property will be penalised.

Hostel

Hostel residents must follow hostel rules, maintain discipline and respect the privacy and comfort of other residents.

Clinical Posting

Students must attend all scheduled clinical postings, follow hospital rules and maintain professional conduct during training.

Students must appear for all internal assessments and end-of-semester examinations as per schedule.

Anti-Ragging

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and is a punishable offence. Violators will be dealt with as per anti-ragging regulations.

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and is a punishable offence as per UGC / Government regulations.

Gangotri Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, School of Nursing, Gorakhpur is committed to maintaining a ragging-free campus. The institution strictly follows all anti-ragging guidelines issued by the Government of India and the competent authorities.

What Constitutes Ragging?
  • Any act that causes physical or psychological harm to a student.
  • Forcing a student to perform any act against their will.
  • Verbal abuse, mockery, humiliation or bullying of any student.
  • Any act that violates the dignity or rights of a student.
  • Cyber bullying or harassment in any form.
Consequences of Ragging
  • Cancellation of admission and expulsion from the institution.
  • Legal action as per prevailing laws.
  • Suspension from classes and examinations.
  • Entry in academic records as a disciplinary action.

If you or anyone you know is a victim of ragging, report it immediately to the Principal's office or the Anti-Ragging Committee.
